When used with Snapper 270, Rig 200 includes support for a 3MP CMOS sensor based camera. This camera option consists of a module with both the CMOS sensor and lens. This module connects directly to Rig 200 via a flat flex cable interface. This provides a high resolution image capture option for Rig 200 and enables it to be used in AV, surveillance or digital photography applications.
The camera is typically mounted away from the Rig 200 via a length of flat flex cable. This enables it to be easily positioned in order to achieve the desired image view. A range of image sizes can then be taken from the camera module and saved on to Rig 200's SD card, internal memory or hard disk. If used at lower resolutions the camera module is able to collect and store images at a rate of up to 18FPS. All drivers are provided to enable image capture in a Linux and WinCE environment.
