Rig 200 Development Kit
development and prototyping solution for Snapper
Rig 200 is a modern development platform from which advanced ARM
microprocessor powered products can be conceptually proven, fully
customised and finally, prototyped. Using either Bluewater Systems
Snapper 255, Snapper CL15 or Snapper 270 Single Board Computer Modules as the core
processor options, Rig 200 utilises a range of 'feature plus modules' and daughter board options to deliver functionality
such as WiFi or Bluetooth, a GPS location, full I/O expansion
options, hard disk storage and a wide range of LCDs. With Rig 200, an engineering team can
quickly prototype and evaluate all aspects of a complex design project.
This is done either in parallel to, or prior to, the development of
custom hardware, enabling a project to be completed more efficiently and
at a reduced overall cost.
Core Expansion
In addition standard functionality such as Ethernet, USB, Serial etc, and
optional Bluetooth and WiFi, Rig 200 is designed to accept a range of
'snap in' expansion modules. These deliver specalised functionality,
enabling Rig 200 to meet a range of feature specific needs. Core module options include:
- Location Plus Module - Combined GPS location hardware and GPRS data
transfer. Also supports Bluetooth and Zigbee.
- Expansion Plus Module - Allows connection to 3rd party peripherals
- Bluetooth Plus Option - Add Bluetooth to Rig 200 via a low cost snap-on module.
- Wifi Plus Option - Add WiFi to Rig 200 to allow high-speed wireless networking.
In addition to the core expansion feature above, a number of other feature options are available to deliver product sepecific functionality. These include:
- Display Plus Option - A fully featured LCD connector board that enables virtually an LCD to be connected to Rig 200.
- Harddisk Plus Option - A simple connector options that enables a 2.5" IDE hard disk to be connected.
- Camera Plus Option - A 3MP camera option that can be operated by the Rig 200 board to provide high resolution still image capture.
